With many of the wonderful things to see and do in Delta County it is a wonder that the residents get anything done! With more fresh water shorelines than any other county in the nation Delta County offers easy access to fishing, boating, and swimming. Also with easy public access to forest lands, there are many beautiful places to bike, hike, and go off-roading in the summer. In the winter there are many opportunities to snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling on those same trails and roadways.  Besides having these magnificent outdoor activities Delta County offers just as many indoor activities for when the weather prevents us from having fun outside. The Island Resort and Casino brings in big star entertainment and offers the thrill of chance at cards or dice. The William Bonifas Fine Arts Center hosts a variety of art shows and has art classes for the whole family to enjoy. The Bonifas Arts Center and the Besse Center of Performing and Visual Arts both offer top-notch community theater as well as a variety of movies, concerts, art shows, and speakers.

Aside from all the fun and entertainment Delta County offers, it is also the perfect place to work and raise a family. With the average commute only being 14.1 minutes or less, people have more time to spend with their families. The Delta County Airport provides a close and convenient place to depart from for work or a family vacation. There are also four major health care facilities available in the county. The hospital in Escanaba, OSF St. Francis Hospital, was named one of the top hospitals in the U.S. in 2010 for providing top-quality surgical care.
