The Arts


Delta County’s high school graduation rate is well above the state’s and nation’s graduation rate.  This is due to the high quality of public education that exists in this County.  The student encounters community support from their first day of school to their graduation day.  Each school provides a variety of extra curricular activities and sports.

Holy Name Catholic School provides private education for grades pre-k to eighth, including full day and half day kindergarten program.

College Education
Bay de Noc Community College provides opportunities to attain different associate degrees including:  Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Sciences (AS), Associate in Applied Sciences (AAS) degrees, and certificates.  Bay College also offers transfer programs that are designed to prepare students for successful admission to other colleges and universities for completion of their baccalaureate degrees.  Bay College students successfully transfer to universities all across the country.   The Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS) combines general education with course work designed to prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce upon graduation.  For more information visit

Education for Your Employees

The Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) assists employers in developing and maintaining the skills of their employees through:

  • Contract Training:  M-TEC assesses training needs, develop training to meet the organizational needs (customize) and deliver the training according to the employer's schedule.
  • Professional Development Workshops and Seminars: M-TEC offers a wide variety of non-credit workshops designed to assist employers and incumbent workers to improve their professional skills.
  • Industry Training: The M-TEC's training for industry can be delivered in either a contracted class or public seminar.
  • Community Education: Enrichment courses for personal development or relaxation.

M-TEC also strives to promote economic development activity throughout the Upper Peninsula.
