Hannahville is a growing and diverse community located 15 miles west of Escanaba. Since the 1980’s, the tribe has grown tremendously to become a growing and prospering community that is a key driving force for the Central Upper Peninsula. The community employs individuals in many areas, including at the Island Resort & Casino, the Nah Tah Wahsh Hannahville Indian School, the Hannahville Police Department, Health Department, community services, and more.

Billerud - Escanaba Paper Company

Billerud is a leading North American producer of specialty and graphic papers, packaging and pulp. The Escanaba Mill began operating in 1891 as the Escanaba Electric Street Railway Company before the Escanaba Pulp and Paper Company was organized. For more than a century, the Escanaba Mill has undergone expansions and upgrades while continuing to be an influential presence in Delta County.
